TCwbbHulletP2022118.jpg The Hastings Broncos (16-6 overall, 7-6 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference) stopped in Hillsboro to make up a game against the Tabor women?s team postponed from Dec. 20. The Broncos 72-55 win kept their non-conference record pristine. The Bluejays fell behind early and trailed 37-22 at halftime, but found their game with swift ball movement setting up high percentage shots in the second half. When Gina Hullet scored the basket pictured above, Tabor had whittled a 19-point deficit down to 42-32. The Bluejays continued to cut into Hastings? lead, pulling within seven on a basket by Brittany Roth with 5:25 to go?but Hastings slammed the door with near-perfect foul shooting. Hullet finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds. For coverage of last week?s conference games against Kansas Wesleyan and Southwestern, see Page 12.
