Four members of the Tabor College football team have been named to the 2013 KCAC preseason football team.
Senior running back James Monroe led a Bluejay rushing attack that topped the NAIA with an average of 337.4 yards per game.
A 2012 All-KCAC first-team selection and a unanimous pick for the preseason team, Monroe racked up 1,074 rushing yards last season. He averaged 5 yards per carry and scored 11 touchdowns.
Also selected on offense was junior quarterback Simon McKee, a 2012 All-KCAC second-team selection. McKee rushed for 955 yards last season, averaging 5.6 yards per carry and scoring 13 rushing touchdowns. McKee threw for 904 yards and eight touchdowns.
On defense, linebacker Nik France was a unanimous pick after earning All-KCAC first-team honors last season. France led the team with five interceptions, including three for touchdowns.
Defensive lineman Terach Antoine also was a unanimous selection to the preseason team after being named to the All-KCAC second team in 2012.
To be nominated for preseason honors this fall, players had to be returning first- and second-team all-conference performers from last year.
