The Tabor College women’s soccer team split its first two KCAC ames last week to move to 1-1 in conference play, 5-4 overall.
After defeating Saint Mary earlier in the week, Tabor lost to Bethany, 2-1, Saturday.
Tabor scored the game’s first goal when Courtney Yochum found the back of the net for a goal in the 12th minute of play, and the Bluejays held a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Bethany, however, scored twice in the second period during a span of about three minutes. That was enough to hand Tabor its first conference loss.
The Swedes outshot Tabor, 24-13, and held a 12-8 advantage in shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Ruby-Anne Fines had 10 saves.
Saint Mary—Tabor won its first KCAC game in overtime, 1-0, Wednesday.
Dakota Spencer scored the game-winning goal in the 96th minute of play off an assist by Courtney Yochum.
Tabor outshot Saint Mary, 10-6, including a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Carly Rowan had three saves.
Coming—Tabor will host McPherson (1-1, 5-2) tonight at 5 p.m. and will travel to 16th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan (2-0, 7-0-2) Saturday at 1 p.m.
