The Tabor men?s soccer team pushed its winning streak to four with a 3-2 road win Saturday over Sterling College in their Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference opener.
The victory boosts Tabor?s overall record to 7-2.
Sterling started strong, with Warrior Cuyler Prichard scoring at 3:42 and Noel Padilla finding the goal at 6:20 for a 2-0 lead.
But Tabor?s Marian Saar scored a goal at 6:20 off an assist from David Simmet. The Bluejays scored again at 9:09 to tie the game, 2-2. Saar again came through with the winning goal for Tabor at 68:45 in the second half.
Women?Tabor women did not fare as well against Sterling, losing 1-0 Saturday and managing just two shots on the goal.
Courtney Brand scored for Sterling at 81:08 with an assist from Erika Albertson. Kalee Cross was a bright spot for Tabor, posting 11 saves.
Coming?The Bluejays play at McPherson Oct. 5 before playing at the University of Saint Mary on Saturday.
Men?s games start at 8 p.m. at McPherson and at 3 p.m. at St. Mary. Women?s games begin at 5:30 p.m. and at 1 p.m.
