Three members of the Tabor men?s basketball team and one member of the Tabor women?s basketball team have been awarded KCAC honors.
Junior forward Damon Dechant was named to the KCAC first team. Dechant averaged 15.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for the Blujays in 2009-10.
Freshman guard Lawson Kingsley and freshman post player Ryan Chippeaux were awarded KCAC all-freshman honors.
Kingsley moved into the starting line up after an injury to senior point guard Kyle Kroeker against Kansas Wesleyan Jan. 7. Kinglsey was named KCAC player of the week for Feb. 8-14.
Shooting .382 from the three for the season, Kinglsey averaged 8.7 points in 23 games played for the Bluejays.
The 6-foot-7 Chippeaux played in all 28 games for Tabor. He averaged 6.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 18 minutes of action.
Tabor women?s freshman Tynan Honn earned two KCAC honors. Honn was named a KCAC all-conference honorable mention and to the KCAC all-freshman team.
Honn averaged 12.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting .502 from the field for the Bluejays.
