Bluejays compete at Tiger Open

The Tabor College cross-country team competed at the Tiger Open at Fort Hays State University Saturday.

Emily Kemling paced the women with a 13th-place finish among a field of 165 runners with a time of 19 minutes, 3 seconds. Julie Loewen was 28th (19:29), Lindsay Crist 112th (21:29), Maggie Ramirez 140th (22:56) and Kelsey Nitzsche 162nd (26:59).

As a team, the women finished 13th of 19 with a score of 336.

Meanwhile, Thomas Bacon was the men’s top finisher, placing 117th among a field of 186 in 28:53. Adam Burum was 120th (29:02), Josh Richert 129th (29:29), Riley Ballou-Lyngstad 151st (30:16) and Avery Franz 181st (33:36).

As a team, the men finished 18th of 19 with a score of 467.

Coming—The Bluejays will compete in the NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield Oct. 22.
