Bluejay teams receive KCAC Team of Character awards

Two Tabor College teams have received the KCAC Team of Character award, which recognizes one school in each sport and is voted on by conference coaches.

Soccer?The Tabor wo?men?s soccer team received the award. The team has been involved in the Hills?boro United Methodist Church?s ?Service for Ser?vice Project,? which includes community service projects such as painting, trash pickup, moving furniture and carpet removal.

The team also helped park cars for a youth group fundraiser.

The Bluejays have read to elementary students in both Hillsboro and Marion, with book selection emphasizing the importance of good decision-making.

Volleyball?The Tabor volleyball team teaches the Live5 program in the community by reading books that exemplify the program?s core values to elementary school students. The team runs a community track meet in May.
