Bluejay men?s soccer loses two

The Tabor College men?s soccer team suffered a 3-2 loss in overtime Saturday. The match was postponed nearly two hours because of lightning.

The Bluejays scored early on when Philipp Wahl assisted Bransyn Felty with a score in the fourth minute. Wahl added a second goal in the 41st minute for a 2-0 Tabor lead at halftime. But Central Christian tied the game with goals less than three minutes apart, and managed the winning score in overtime in the 99th minute.

Tabor outshot Central Christian 14-12, including 8-7 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Kevin Bankowski had four saves.

Southwestern Christian?Tabor lost Tuesday, 10-1. The Eagles held a 7-0 lead before Tabor scored on a Michel Herzenhaut goal in the 67th minute.

SCU outshot Tabor 25-12, including 17-6 shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Tom Gaskell had two saves, while Kevin Bankowski had one.

Coming?Tabor (1-6) was scheduled to host Saint Gregory?s Tuesday and will travel to the University of Saint Mary for the start of KCAC play Oct. 4 at 8 p.m.
