The Tabor College men’s soccer team suffered a pair of conference losses last week. After losing Wednesday’s game with McPherson, Tabor lost to Kansas Wesleyan, 1-0, Saturday.
After a scoreless first half, the Coyotes scored the game-winner in the 77th minute of play.
Kansas Wesleyan outshot Tabor, 21-11, and held a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal.
McPherson—Tabor lost to the Bulldogs, 3-1, Wednesday.
The Bluejays took an early lead when Bransyn Felty scored in the fifth minute of play off an assist by Robert Talamantez. But the Bulldogs tied the game by scoring in the 13th minute and held a 2-1 lead at halftime after scoring a second goal in the 39th minute. McPherson scored once more in the 53rd minute of play.
Tabor outshot McPherson, 9-8, but the Bulldogs held the advantage in shots on goal, 6-1.
Goalkeeper Derrick Eszlinger had three saves.
Coming—Tabor (0-4, 2-8) will host Sterling (0-2-2, 3-5-3) tonight at 7:30 p.m. and will travel to York (1-3, 4-6-1) Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
