Allen signs to run for Tabor College

Hillsboro High School senior Joel Allen signed a letter of intent Dec. 3 to run cross country and track at Tabor College next year. Last spring, Allen finished third in Class 3A in the 3,200 meters; this fall he broke the school record for a 5-kilometer cross-country race and placed second at the state meet in late October. Sitting with him are his parents, Carol and Brian Allen. Behind him are HHS cross-county coach Stuart Holmes, Tabor cross-country coach Dan Swaney, Tabor track coach Dave Kroeker and HHS track coach Dennis Boldt.
