The Tabor College track teams fielded winners in 16 events at Bethel’s Twilight Invitational March 18.
The runners on the women’s side won: the 100 by Kayla Gershon (13.32), the 400 by Kelli Kopper (1:00.21), the 1,500 by Christina Addison (5:14.56), the 400 hurdles by Erin Vance (1:11.60), the 4×100 relay (51.82) and the 4×400 relay (4:19.32).
In the field, Jessica Burden won the pole vault (9-0), Breanna Wray won the shot put (41-11⁄2), and Samantha Van Ranken won the javelin (111-7).
The men’s side wins were: Jordan Stahl’s 200 (23.54), Justin Ball’s 400 (50.92), Matt Spurgeon’s 800 (2:16.37), Ball’s 1,500 (4:44.89), Zach Gould’s 5,000 (17:21.52), the 4×400 (3:31.42) and the 4×800 (8:34.58).
?This was a small meet,? coach Dave Kroeker said. ?Breanna Wray had a good first outdoor meet, winning the shot put and just missing qualifying for nationals by two inches.?
Kroeker noted that Wray picks up right where she left off in the hammer throw (148-91⁄2).
Coming?Tabor is scheduled to compete Saturday at Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City.
