Golf – The Trojans played in the Herington Invitational on Tuesday, April 4 where they came in 3rd out of nine teams.

Bryant Dalke tied for sixth with a score of 91and Lincoln Wichert tied for 12th with 98.

On Thursday, April 6, the team hosted the Hillsboro Invitational and came in 4th out of six teams.

Wichert took 10th at 94 and Dalke came in at 13th with 98. Annaliese Jorgenson was right behind him in 14th with 99.

“These two tournaments in the first week of competition certainly gave us a good indication of where we are and what we can start to focus on as far as making improvements individually. It was nice for Bryant and Lincoln to both earn Top 15 medals at Herington and for Lincoln to follow it up by winning a Top 10 medal on Thursday at our course. It was a decent start for this group, finishing third at Herington and fourth at Hillsboro, but I think all of them are starting to recognize areas where they can improve and get their scores moving in the right direction,” said Coach Scott O’Hare.

The coach went on to say that the golfers have all proven that they can hit solid golf shots and have the ability to chip and putt pretty well on and around the greens.

He said, “Although everyone has specific things to improve on, I think the biggest thing right now as a group is work on consistency, course management, and scoring. I am excited to continue working with this group and see them to improve over the next couple months.”
