Canton-Galva?The fourth-seeded girls kicked off the Sedgwick invitational girls? tournament with a 38-37 victory over the fifth-seeded host school Tuesday. Cassidy Enns led the effort with 15 points.

The Eagles defeated No. 8 Clearwater Thursday, 49-37. Enns scored a game-high 24 points. Keana Haydon added 14.

With Thursday?s win, Canton-Galva faced No. 2 Conway Springs in the championship Saturday. The Eagles lost, 46-26. Enns led the team with 11 points. Enns and Haydon were named to the all-tournament team.

The Eagles were scheduled to travel to Ell-Saline Tuesday and will host Sedgwick Friday.

Goessel?As the top seed in the Eli J. Walter girls? invitational tournament hosted by Berean Academy, Goessel began with a 56-10 blowout victory over No. 8 Stafford Tuesday.

Goessel lost to Douglass Thursday, 28-15.

The Bluebirds concluded the tournament with a 41-29 loss to Trinity Academy Saturday in the third place game.

Aleena Cook and Page Hiebert were named to the all-tournament team.

The boys, meanwhile, lost to Moundridge, 47-39, Friday. Zach Wiens led the team with 20 points and nine rebounds.

The Bluebirds were scheduled to play at Little River Tuesday and will host Elyria Christian Friday.
