Canton-Galva?The Eagles defeated Ellinwood, 48-44, Thursday. Canton-Galva wraps up the season with a record of 5-4.

Centre?The Cougars lost to Sylvan-Lucas, 56-6, Thursday and finish the season with a record of 3-6.

Goessel?The Bluebirds lost to Central Plains-Claflin, 60-6, Thursday.

The Bluebirds scored their only touchdown on a 68-yard kickoff return by Trevor Beisel in the first quarter to even the score at 6-6. But Central Plains scored 44 points by the end of the first quarter and added another 16 in the second for the win.

Goessel, who struggled on the ground and netted -7 yards rushing, tallied 54 yards through the air. Chase Flaming was 8-for-18 for 54 yards. Miguel Guerrero led the defense with six and a half tackles.

Goessel finishes the season with an overall record of 1-8.

Peabody-Burns?The Warriors claimed the Class 8-man, Division I, District 3 title with a 66-18 victory over Lebo Thursday.

Peabody-Burns (9-0) was scheduled to host Osborne (8-1) Tuesday in bi-district playoff action. With a win, the Warriors would face either Melvern-Marais Des Cygnes Valley (7-2) or Cedar Vale/Dexter (6-3) Saturday in a regional matchup.
