Canton-Galva baseball?The Eagles lost two games at Sedgwick Tuesday.

Canton-Galva lost Game 1, 7-2. Connor Farnham was 2-for-4 at-bat, including a two-run home run. Collin Riessig hit a double. Farnham absorbed the pitching loss. He gave up five hits.

The Eagles lost Game 2, 13-1. Farnham accounted for both of the Eagles? hits, going 2-for-3 at-bat, including a double. Nick Bray sustained the pitching loss. He gave up six hits.

?Nick pitched really well, easily his best outing of the year,? coach Kelly Nelson said. ?Our defense made a lot of errors, and we didn?t make some catches in the outfield that should have been caught.?

Canton-Galva then lost a pair of games at Little River Friday. The Eagles lost Game 1, 15-0. Tanner Klingensmith was 2-for-2 at-bat and had Canton-Galva?s only hits. Klingensmith absorbed the pitching loss.

The Eagles lost Game 2, 8-3. Connor Farnham took the pitching loss.

Nick Bray, Hunter Pearson and Reed Wiens accounted for all three of the Eagles? hits, recording one apiece.

The Eagles were scheduled to host Ell-Saline Tuesday and will host Marion Friday.

Centre golf?Nathaniel Engler led the Cougars at the Remington golf meet at Fox Ridge in Newton Thursday. Engler carded an 18-hole score of 103 to place seventh overall.

The Cougars will compete at Rolling Meadows Thursday.
