Canton-Galva and Centre

The Eagles Volleyball girls and the Centre Cougar girls kicked off their seasons on Tuesday, Sept. 1 when they played each other at Centre.

“Our first night of COVID volleyball is in the books. Centre did a great job hosting us. We did a dual with them due to some schedule changes on our first game,” said Canton-Galva head coach Chloe Hedlund.

The scores for the night:

Match 1 –

Set 1 11 CG-25 Centre

Set 2 15 CG-25 Centre

Match 2

Set 1 18 CG-25 Centre

Set 2 19 CG-25 Centre

“We were very grateful to be playing tonight and be on the court in competition again. We improved throughout the night as seen in our scores. The night was successful in that aspect. We are missing our starting setter, as she’s out with a shoulder injury, our secondary setter did a great job filling in. All together, we have things to work on in practice this week, but pleased with the improvements we made as a team tonight,” said Hedlund.

Herington defeated Goessel 25-23, 25-8

Herington defeated Goessel 25-20, 25-13

Coming – Goessel resumes play next Tuesday, Sept. 8 at home.
