“If you are wanting to sell your house and you don’t have any landscaping whatsoever, there’s no curb appeal and potential buyers are likely to just pass you by and not even look inside the house,” said Serenity Gardens owner Jana Dalke.
She also said that even simple landscaping can add to the property value of the neighborhood.
“Landscaping your yard is a good idea. Even if you aren’t moving, someone is going to likely want to live next to you. It’s going to increase the value of your place and those around you,” said Dalke.
Another perk for homeowners who plant trees and other plants is the potential to save money on utility bills. Trees planted strategically can provide shade and cooling.
Dalke said,“With certain planting of trees, you’ve got energy savings that you can think about. Like an evergreen block on the north would help with heating in winter.”
Serenity Gardens offers a large variety of trees, shrubs, hanging baskets, perennials (plants that return yearly), decorative grasses and more to help with increasing the value of your property. “Green is so important to the landscape. Plus it makes you feel good,” Dalke said.
