Tena Loewen and Ben Steketee, youth volunteers, tally up the pounds of food coming to the Main Street Ministries food bank in Hillsboro Oct. 28. More than 2,500 pounds of food were collected to help people in need and also in preparation for the holiday season. The event, called ?Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat,? was a combined effort of local youth groups going door-to-door to collect non-perishable items, said Lillian Bookless, Main Street Ministries director. Additional contributions may be made to 415 S. Main. For more information, call 620-947-3393.
