Twins earn National FFA scholarships

The National FFA Organization has awarded scholarships to two Goessel High School students.

Madeline Meier has received a $1,500 scholarship sponsored by America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaderships Monsanto Fund. She plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at Kansas State University.

Emily Meier was awarded a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by AGCO Manufacturing Local Plants Hesston Operations. She also plans to use the funds toward a degree at KSU.

These scholarships are among the 1,829 awarded by the National FFA organization. Recipients are selected from some 8,800 applicants from across the country. Selections are based on the applicant’s leadership, academic record, FFA and other school and community activities, as well as supervised ag or work experience and future goals.
