Trent Voth accepted for semester of Oxford studies

Trent Voth, a Tabor College senior from Halstead, has been accepted into the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities? Scholar?s Semester in Oxford for fall 2007.

Voth is earning degrees in social science, history, biblical/religious studies and philosophy.

?This is one of the most popular and impressive CCCU programs,? said Lawrence Ressler, vice president of academics and student development.

?I am pleased that Trent has an interest in attending this outstanding program, and even more pleased that he has been accepted.?

Voth said he was encouraged to apply to the program by his professor and advisor, Richard Kyle.

?I?ve been fortunate to have a great professor and advisor in Dr. Richard Kyle,? said Voth. ?He encouraged me to look into the CCCU programs.?

While at Oxford, Voth plans to study British history, philosophy of religion, and historiography (historical disciplines).

?To me, Oxford is the peak of academic excellence,? said Voth. ?Aside from being able to put that on a resume, it?s also just an incredible opportunity to expand horizons and travel. It?s really exciting.?
