Three deer visit Hillsboro residential area

Three deer visited the home of Norman and Dot Ensz, who live in the 100 block of South Cedar in Hillsboro.

According to Dot Ensz, a male, female and young deer stopped by about 8 a.m. Memorial Day (May 31) and spent about 20 minutes watching and eating grass in their front yard.

?The three deer then went into the backyard,? she said, ?and the young one and female laid down under our trees to rest while the male deer kept watch.?

The threesome then left down the alley about 40 minutes later, she said.

For deer to spend that much time in a residential area was unusual, Dot Ensz said, and they thought others might enjoy hearing about this unique experience.
