Tabor surpasses its $1 million goal

Tabor College has surpassed the million-dollar goal for its annual fundraising campaign.

On June 30, the close of the fiscal year 2011, the Tabor Fund stood at $1,013,600.

Jim Elliott, vice-president of advancement, credited the support from the many friends of the college, despite the difficult economy,

?It is wonderful to see so many faithful donors, as well as many new supporters, willing to financially support the mission of Tabor College,? Elliott said.

?Without their financial gifts, Tabor College could not effectively provide a Christ-centered education for so many young people who will someday change the world.?

Ron Braun, director of development, said there was a dynamic energy surrounding the fundraising efforts.

?Many people are excited about the growth and success Tabor College is experiencing,? Braun said. ?They are choosing to faithfully pray for and generously partner in the mission of preparing people for a life of learning, work and service for Christ and his kingdom.

?All that we celebrate?record enrollment, the record amount of annual contributions to the Tabor Fund, lives transformed, and souls won?we owe it all to our Lord.?
