The Tabor College Concert Band and Jazz Band, under the direction of Richard Cantwell, professor of instrumental music and chair of the music department, will be on spring tour from Friday, April 20, to the following Tuesday.
A home concert will be performed on Sunday, April 29, at Tabor College.
With the theme, ?Let There Be Praise,? the concert band will perform a variety of literature including sacred texts, marches, selections from Broadway shows, selections from opera and music for solo flute and solo trumpet.
The jazz band will perform traditional 1940s swing selections.
The tour will include a variety of performance venues, including school concerts and worship gatherings.
The schedule is as follows: Belleview Community Church, Littleton, Colo., April 20; South Mountain Community Church, Draper, Utah, April 22; Old Town Square Plaza, downtown Fort Collins, Colo., April 23; Heritage Christian School, Fort Collins, Colo., April 24; Tabor College Chapel-Auditorium, 7 p.m., April 29.
The public is invited to attend these performances.
