Tabor library receives $3,000 grant

The Tabor College Library was one of 14 Kansas community, school and university libraries to be award a total of $25,000 in grants from the State Library of Kansas this week.

The grants are submitted through a competitive process, and reviewed by an independent panel of judges representing schools, academic and public libraries.

?We are pleased to make this year?s grants,? said State Librarian Christie Brandau. ?Funding is limited, so the competition was tough.?

Tabor?s grant of $3,000, the largest received by any recipient, has been designated for ?The Social Welfare Needs of Children.?
