Tabor College to host Mile High Orchestra

Tabor College is hosting Denver Bierman and the Mile High Orchestra in Richert Auditorium on Friday, Nov. 30, for a one-night performance of their popular Christmas show.

Considered by many as America’s premiere Christian big band, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra Christmas Show combines nostalgic holiday classics, inspirational original music and it’s possible the Grinch might show up to try to steal Christmas.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $10 to $40, depending on seat selection in the auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online at tabor.edu/tickets.

“This is the holiday event that is perfect for the whole family, and a great reminder of the redeeming love of Jesus Christ, the real reason we celebrate Christmas,” Bierman said.

No stranger to Tabor, Bierman led an interactive chapel program Aug. 26 as part of the college’s Nachtigal Lecture Series. Denver and the Mile High Orchestra impressed a national audience when they made the finale of the FOX-TV “American Idol” spin-off, “The Next Great American Band.”

The event also will feature local talent from Tabor College and the surrounding area. The Nashville-based horn band currently has two different television shows in development, as well as multiple recording projects on the horizon.
