Tabor College is planning a dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting for the newly completed Harms Residence Hall at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. The public is welcome to attend. The 16-unit residence hall is located at 502 E. B St. in Hillsboro. Guided tours of the facility will be available for the public following the ceremony. The building was made possible by a donation from Wilmer Harms, an opthalmologist from North Newton, in honor of his late wife, Esther. Harms is the founding chairman of the board of the Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies, since its formation in 1975. He is member emeritus of the Tabor College Board of Directors, serving on the board from 1978-1996.
