The Tabor College Symphonic Band will present a concert at 4 p.m. April 24 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.
The concert will feature sacred songs ranging from the 16th century to contemporary worship music from the 20th century.
“I am honored to be working with this group of musicians at Tabor,” said Larry Ediger, director. “The music we will showcase has been written by the foremost in symphonic band composers and demonstrates the range of skill and talent by our students.”
Soloists will include Michael Beye of Inman on tuba, Elisha Cairns of Salina on clarinet, Alex Janzen of Morro Bay, Calif., on baritone, Zach Miller of Cheney on trombone, Krista Neifert of Pratt on alto saxophone, Lauren Neufeld of Greenwood, S.C., on oboe, Kirsten Neufeld of Greenwood on French horn, Zach Neumann of Osborne on trumpet, and Kaitlyn Rempel of Fairview, Okla., on flute.
