Seven from county included on KU academic honors list

Seven Marion County students were among 5,000 undergraduates named to the University of Kansas fall 2009 semester honor roll. They were:

? Jacob Hadley of Burns, senior, school of pharmacy;

? Chelsey Leigh Harmon of Durham, senior, school of business;

? Danielle Hagen of Hills?boro, senior, college of liberal arts and sciences;

? Megan Vogel of Hillsboro, professor 1, school of pharmacy;

? Sonja Steinborn of Marion, junior, college of liberal arts and sciences;

? Matthew Thierolf of Marion, freshman, college of liberal arts and sciences;

? Krista Heiser of Ramona, senior, school of nursing.

The students, from KU?s Lawrence campus and the schools of allied health and nursing in Kansas City, Kan., represent 99 of 105 Kansas counties, 46 other states and the District of Columbia and 40 other countries, said Mary Jane Dunlap, university relations.

Honor roll criteria vary among the university?s academic units, she said.
