Rempel accepts Presidental scholarship

Photo ProvidedCaleb Rempel, a senior at Hillsboro High School was one of four high school seniors selected to participate in the Tabor College Presidential Leadership Program for 2019-20. According to a Tabor press release, also selected for the 2019 class of Scholars were Pierce Klaassen and Shea Sutherland, both of Arkansas City and Tara Sheets of Azle, Texas.

Candidates were evaluated on campus Feb. 18-19. The candidates participated in different activities, interviews and team assignments.

“I was very honored to receive the Presidential Scholarship. It is humbling to be one of the four chosen, and I hope to put the award to good use,” said Rempel.

Rempel has accepted the scholarship and will start in the fall.

“At Tabor, I will be studying business and ministry,” said Rempel. “I am not sure what other activities I will be involved in.”
