Luciano ?Lu? L?Abate, internationally known scholar, lecturer and author in the field of psychology, chats with William Johnson (right), emeritus professor of chemistry at Tabor College, during a reception in L?Abate?s honor on Monday in the Tabor Library. Lawrence Ressler, Tabor provost, listens in on the conversation. L?Abate got his post-secondary start at Tabor College, graduating in 1950 with degrees in English and psychology. He currently is professor emeritus of psychology at Georgia State University. L?Abate has written more than 42 books and 300 papers, articles or chapters. He has lectured on psychology in seven foreign countries and received the ?Distinguishes Professional Contribution to Applied Research? for 2008 from the American Psychological Association.
