Parents As Teachers plans reading events

The Marion County Parents as Teachers is continuing its annual PJ Reading events in coordination with local librarians, said Lori Soo Hoo, PAT coordinator and educator.

?We?ll be making the book, ?Gingerbread Baby? come to life through reading, play, art and games,? she said.

The book was written by Jan Brett and seven locations are scheduled for the event.

Five of the seven sites scheduled for this week and next are at Marion City Library, 208 E. Santa Fe St., from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 and Goessel Public Library, 101 S. Cedar St., from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 27.

The other three libraries and times included are Peabody City Library, 214 N. Walnut, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Jan. 28; Hillsboro Public Library, 120 E. Grand Ave., from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 and Burns Library, 104 N. Washington Ave., from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 31.
