Taylor Nikkel, Hillsboro High School senior, receives a certificate proclaiming her the 2011 National FFA Collegiate Scholarship winner from Marion County. The award, sponsored by Hillsboro Ford and Ford Motor Co., is for $1,000. Presenting the certificate is Terry Hagen, co-owner of Hillsboro Ford along with Randy Hagen (far left). Standing with Nikkel is Sonya Roberts, HHS?FFA adviser. Nikkel plans to attend Cloud County Community College this fall and eventually transfer to Kansas State University to pursue a degree in pre-veterinary science. She is the daughter of Jessie and the late Vincent Nikkel.
