MHS ‘Beauty & Beast’ debuts Friday Night


Marion High School’s fall production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” will open at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Marion City Auditorium.

Repeat performances are planned for 7 p.m., Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Reserved seating is required for the Friday and Saturday performances. Tickets are available at The County Seat in Marion and at the door. Sunday tickets will be sold only at the door

Tickets for adults will be $3 while tickets for children 12 and under will be $2.

The main characters will be: Belle, played by Brooke Johnson; Beast, by Hank Collett; Gaston, by Brett Billings; Maurice, by Alex Eurit; LeFou, by Matt Fine; Mrs. Potts, by Lucy Collett; Babette, by Kristen Geis; Lumiere, by Brady Hudson; Cogsworth, by Zach Helmstead; Wardrobe, by Cassy Legg; Chip, by Michael Kirkpatrick; and D’Arque, by Ondrej Wencel.

Playing “Four Silly Girls” are Amber Ratzloff, Lauren Helmer, Mara Prescott and Valeree Hett.

The chorus includes Danae Edwards, Kara Druse, Erika Riggs, Tim Costello, Landon Leiker, Derek Stuchlik, Kayla Williams, Jake Czarnowsky, Tristan Snelling and Jordan Harper.
