McHomes homeschool group presents final program

Kaitlyn Krispence (seated) and Amber Schmidt perform a skit about Amelia Bedelia, children?s book character, during the Saturday evening program of the local home-school group, McHomes, at Strassburg Baptist Church, rural Marion. Kaitlyn is the daughter of Kristie and Todd Krispense, and Amber is the daughter of Carl and Sheri Schmidt. The program brought to a close the cooperative classes of the spring semester, said Betsy Walker, one of the coordinators. ?These co-op classes are made up of many home-school families who gather together on a biweekly basis to teach various classes to our children,? she said. ?This is a way that we can share with each other our interests, talents and areas of expertise.? In addition, the event provides academic opportunities for home-schooled children, she said, in an environment where they can learn, while at the same time spending time together with their friends.
