Marion FFA team places second in district dairy contest

Members of the Marion-Florence FFA Chapter received second place in the Greenhand division at the South Central District FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation Career Development Event on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The contest was hosted by the Inman FFA Chapter at the McPherson County Fairgrounds.

Contest participants were required to evaluate and place six classes of dairy cows and heifers. They also had to prepare and present a set of oral reasons as well.

Individually for Marion, Todd Palic placed sixth.

Members from Marion’s Greenhand team were Palic, Laura Savage, Tristan Williams, Tabor Workman, Will Alleven, Braedon Mercer, Bryce Mermis, Rope Uhl, Zane Westmoland, Colton Boudreaux, Abigail Stuchlik and Lane Watkins.
