Marion FFA presents banquet awards

The Marion/Florence FFA Chapter conducted its Parent/Member/Employer Banquet at the Marion High School cafeteria Thursday, May 1.

About 130 members and guests attended the banquet.

Members were recognized for their activities during the year and were presented numerous awards.

Cade Harms was recognized as the Star Chapter Greenhand in Production, Clint Kroupa was recognized as the Chapter Star in Placement and Nicholas Meyer was named the Star Chapter Farmer.

FFA members presented appreciation certificates to Straub Inter?national, Prairieland Partners Inc., Chuck and Lori McLinden, Hillsboro Industries, Don Molleker, Cooperative Grain & Supply, Pat Ash, Mary Maloney, Tod Gordon and Gambino?s Pizza for their assistance to the chapter during the year.

Bret and Mary Maloney were named honorary chapter FFA degree recipients during a special ceremony at the banquet.

Cody Holliday, the current State FFA Treasurer, was the featured speaker for the evening. The chapter presented a PowerPoint slide show of the year?s highlights after the meal.
