Marion FFA members

compete in state CDE

Members of the Marion-Florence FFA chapter competed in the state FFA Career Develop­ment Events hosted by Kansas State University in Manhattan May 2-3.

Several teams competed from Marion.

The MHS Agriculture Mechanical and Technical Systems team placed third overall. All four members placed in the top 10 individually. Remington Putter was the third-high individual, Nicholas Stuchlik placed fourth, Ezra Darnall ninth and Jeremy Hett 10th.

The team received full points for the team activity and actually tied for second place, but the tie was broken on written-test scores.

The Agribusiness Man­agement team of Aidan Cairns, Cade Harms, Caleb Hett and Carley Stapleford placed 13th at state with Harms placing in the silver division individually.

Elizabeth Meyer, Cade Harms, Aidan Cairns and Carley Stapleford placed 15th in the state Agriculture Sales CDE.

Alissa Adame, Rebecca Sawyer, Devin Soyez and Cameron Steward competed in the state Entomology CDE.
