Marion High School students placed fourth at the Kansas Welding Institute invitational Mig welding contest March 4.
The contest was hosted by the North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit. Individually for Marion, William Adame placed seventh, Nicholas Stuchlik 14th and Bryce Shults 28th.
Also competing from Marion was Jeremy Hett.
Team members were required to read and interpret blueprints to correctly place and perform five welds on 3/8-inch plate and to perform four other welds on a 1/4-inch plate.
They were also given a written test on Mig welding.
