Daniel Jost, a 2009 Hillsboro High School graduate, was selected to receive the 10th annual $3,200 Marion County Agriculture Future of America Scholarship. AFA, with headquarters in Kansas City, Mo., sponors the local scholarship in partnership with Cooperative Grain & Supply, Midland Farm Servicves of Marion and Central National Bank. High school seniors in Marion County who plan to pursue careers in an agriculture-related industry are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a grade-point average of 3.0, be willing to attend AFA?s Leadership Conference in fall, and pursue a four-year agriculture degree. The process also includes an interview and an essay. Jost plans to attend Tabor College this fall.
