Taylon Lamkin (foreground, above) leads a caravan of bicycle riders through the mid-morning parade that was part of the ?Spirit of the Season? promotional event on Saturday in downtown Hillsboro. In addition to the parade, free document shredding across from Hillsboro Ford from 9-12, the ?Fill the Bus? (pictured below) food drive for Main Street Ministries led by the local Boy Scouts troop and a chili feed at City Hall were featured. Scoutmaster Lee Clark reported that the Boy Scouts collected more than 1,700 pounds of food for Main Street Ministries, which was ?a huge improvement over last year?.
