The Hillsboro High School Music Department competed at the KSHSAA 2A State Music Festival on Saturday in Salina.
Receiving a “II” rating were vocal soloists Alykah Dewees, and flute soloist Kayla Gunn.
Soloists earning a “I” rating were Sarah Diener (clarinet), and vocalists Breanna Dittert, Eva Franz, Anna Glanzer, Vance Klassen, Chloe Pankratz, Caleb Rempel and Colin Settle.
Groups earning a “I” rating were the Sax Quartet (Ellian Weisbeck, Grace Major, Sarah Diener and Addie Berens), the Mixed Choral Ensemble, Spirit-N-Celebration, SNC Men and SNC Women.
Members of the Mixed Ensemble are Angel Baugh, Ashley Brazil, Kylie Brown, Jacob Denholm, Alykah Dewees, Breanna Dittert, Katie Evans, Eva Franz, Kayla Gunn, Jorge Hanschu, Shelby Johnson, Sonja Jost, Preston Loewen, Kylee Martin, Kelly Meredith and William Spaich.
Members of Spirit-N-Celebration are Anna Glanzer, Jenna Hinerman, Jacob Isaac, Sarah Jost, Vance Klassen, Callie Linnens, Grace Major, Josiah Melton, Chloe Pankratz, Jaden Priest, Brodie Rathbone, Tyson Reimer, Caleb Rempel, Abby Sechrist, Colin Settle, Madi Sheppard, Avery Unruh and Savannah Unruh.
