Laura Fowler Paulus / Free PressHillsboro Ford organized a fundraiser for school districts in Marion County. Money was donated for every household that showed up to drive a Ford car.

“It is a great fundraiser, the biggest of the year.” said Lena Klein, President of the Hillsboro Booster Club. “We appreciate Ford Motor Company for sponsoring the event and the community for coming out and supporting our HHS athletes.”

Any household in Marion County could participate.

“Last year and this year, instead of just giving it to the Hillsboro Athletic Booster Club, we have now opened it up to all school districts in Marion County,” said Terry Hagen of Hillsboro Ford.

The total amount raised was around $5500 with the final total coming once Ford Motor Company verifies it all. The money raised will be divided up among the school districts who participated.
