Hillsboro High School TSA students compete at state contest

State TSA TeamTechnology Student Association members from Hillsboro High School received several top awards at the Kansas TSA State Competitive Events Conference April 17-19 at the Webster Conference Center in Salina. About 250 students from around the state participated in the competition. Pictured above are HHS entrants (from left) Carson Herbel, Jonathan Hinerman, Nathan Simhiser, Reece Berens, Matthew Denholm, Erich Herbel and Garrett Foster. In the Structural Engineering competition, Erich Herbel and Foster took first and Carson Herbel and Hinerman placed second; in Flight Endurance, Erich Herbel took first and Denholm placed second; in Dragster design, Foster took first, Erich Herbel second and Simhiser third; in System Control Technology, Erich Herbel, Foster and Hinerman finished fourth.
