Hillsboro High homecoming highlights

The senior boys do their traditional dance during the Friday afternoon pep rally, which was moved from downtown Hillsboro to the high school gymnasium because of bad weather. The student fan section gets rowdy prior to the homecoming crowning at a chilly and damp Joel H. Wiens Stadium. Queen Kalie Siebert places the king?s medallion around the neck of Brett Weinbrenner. Standing behind them are fellow candidates Morganne Hamm and Jordan Faul. Between them are flower girl Kenzi Neisinger, daughter of Mike and Diane Meisinger, and crown bearer Blaine Bauer, who lives with Greg and Denise Brown.

Hillsboro High School celebrated its annual homecoming week Oct. 14 through 18. The week culminated Friday in the crowning of the queen and king, the football game with Moundridge and the school dance afterward.
