HHSFFA1st671.jpg The FFA dairy cattle judging team from Hillsboro High School took first place in the state contest May 4 in Manhattan. HHS competed against more than 50 other teams across the state, said Sonya Roberts, adviser. The team is eligible to compete in the national finals this fall at Indianapolis, Ind. Pictured are: (from left) Roberts, sophomore Darren Mueller, senior Andy Klassen, senior John Hein and freshman Aaron Klassen. The team competed at Kansas State University in Manhattan on May 4. Students evaluate dairy cattle based on four classes with the goal of placing the animals as the judges would in the same class and with similar characteristics.
