HHS TSA wins state awards; aims for nationals

The Hillsboro chapter of the Technology Student Association attended the Kansas TSA state competitive events conference in Salina, March 28-30, and came home with several awards.

In Dragster Design, Erich Herbel placed first and Garrett Foster second.

In Structural Engineering, Chase Meisinger and Erich Herbel placed first.

In Flight Endurance, Herbel placed second.

In Manufacturing Prototype, Franklin Jost finished third.

In Webmaster, Reece Berens placed fourth.

Also, Jordan Bezdeck was tournament champion at the Kansas TSA VEX Sack Attack.

Tyler Profitt was a finalist in Programming Skills, and Herbel was Robot Skills finalist.

Hillsboro High School will be hosting a VEX Sack Attack starting at 10 a.m. May 4 with multiple schools compete against each other.

Concession proceeds will help the Hillsboro TSA state winners go to nationals in June.

The TSA will be hosting the Farmer?s Market meal June 6 to raise additional money for nationals.

The meal will include meatballs, cheesy potatoes, green beans and chocolate cake.
