HHS to give “Meet me in St. Louis”

Hillsboro High School students are preparing for the performance of ?Meet Me in St. Louis? next week Thursday and Friday, March 13 and 14.

Both presentations will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $5 and are on sale through the high school office. Seating is not reserved.

The play is about the desire of four Smith sisters to go to the World?s Fair that is about to open in their city of St. Louis. Then Father comes home with news that he and the entire family will be moving to New York.

To make matters worse, a Southern debutante is stealing not only the girls? only brother, but their beaus as well.

The girls unite and vow to do whatever it takes to remain in their hometown with the World?s Fair and their boyfriends.

Following is the cast selected for the play: Mr. Lonnie Smith will played by Cody McMillen, Lon Smith by Nolan Dirks, Tootie Smith by Jessica Elliott, Grandpa Prophater by Brandon McMillen, Katie by Kim Brown, Rose Smith by Chelsea Bebermeyer, Esther Smith by Maria Loewen, Mrs. Waughop by Amber Williams, Mrs. Anna Smith by Becky Steketee, Ida Booth by Rochelle Cecil, Fred Gregory by George Steketee, Agnes Smith by Heidi Schroeder, John Shephard by Ben Heyen, Lucille Pentard by Kelsey Unruh, Conductor by Gavin Serene, Mr. Dodge by Mark Prieb, Mr. Duffy by Joe Fisher.
