HHS homecoming queen and king to be chosen Friday among 10 nominees

Homecoming candidates for Hillsboro High School were selected last week. The candidates for queen are (from left) Jessica Elliott, Cassie Kroeker, Abi Humber, Jet Skiles and Heidi Schroeder. The candidates for king are (from left) Ben Gottsch, Ishmael Morris, Daniel Jost, Nolan Dirks and Clay Shewey. The king and queen will be chosen at 6:30 p.m. Friday, one half hour before the kickoff of the game between the Trojans and Sterling at Reimer Field. Earlier in the day, the annual parade and pep rally will begin downtown at 2:30 p.m. A tailgate party at Reimer Field will begin at 5 p.m. Following the football game, students will gather at the high school for the annual dance. The theme for this year?s homecoming is ?Friday Night Lights.?
