HHS FCCLA rates well at districts

The Hillsboro High School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America scored well at the district Students Taking Action for Recognition events competition Feb. 3 at Newton.

Rachel MacKenzie received a silver rating for her senior ?National Programs? display; Emily Hoskinson received a second-gold rating in senior ?Recycle & Redesign.?

Four members qualified for state competition in their respective categories: Meridith Lamkin, senior, ?Career Investigation?; Sierra Benda, junior, ?Illustrated Talk?; Katie Claassen, junior, ?Food Innovations?; and Kurtis Klein in Jr. ?Chapter Service Display.?
