HHS FCCLA members read to preschoolers

Family and consumer science students, plus members of Family Career and Community Leaders of America at Hillsboro High School participated in the National Read to Preschoolers Week, Nov. 16-21

The students attended the morning and afternoon Hillsboro Head Start classes as well as the preschool at Kids Connection begun by Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.

The theme book this year was ?Bear Feels Sick.? Along with reading to the children, activities were included to reinforce the theme of helping others and staying healthy.

Students participating were Ashlyn Simmons, Heather Goldsby, Megan Chizek, Sarah Hill, Brandi Boucher, Rashelle Palmer, Rhiannon Janzen. They were accompanied by Monica Leihy, FACS instructor and FCCLA adviser.
